Scotland: 2000m² in Whitmuir
Farmer Pete Richie runs the working, family farm Whitmuir just 16 miles south of central Edinburgh. As well as rearing thier own beef, lamb, pork and turkey, they also grow salad leaves and vegetables and keep hens for eggs.
Together with the eco committee of the local elementary School, Pete has just started a 2000 m² field on his farm. The students come to work on the field, harvest together and share the food for lunch at School. Pete Richie is an active member of Nourish Scotland and will keep us posted on the events and stories from the 2000 m² field in Whitmuir, Scotland in the blog.
