Weltacker in the Hannover Region

The time has come! After a long run-up, the Hannover Region’s Global Field will be launched in Harkenbleck/Hemmingen in April 2026. The team actually started the first preparations with many helping hands back in November 2025: the fruit trees for our Global Field were planted!

As in Osnabrück and Wuppertal, this Global Field will be based on the Planetary Health Diet: What food would we have to grow here in Germany to feed a world population of 10 billion people in a healthy way in 2050 and at the same time not overburden our planet? Questions of justice – global justice, co-determination, educational justice and fair pay – also play a role in this dietary style.

Complex topics that are vividly broken down and made tangible for educational work. This is the goal!

Heuhüpfer e. V. is an extracurricular place of learning for ESD (Education for Sustainable Development) recognized by the Lower Saxony Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs and is the sponsor of the Global Field in the Hanover region. The association contributes its many years of experience in farm education, which is why the offers for kindergartens, schools and adults continue to be very action-oriented.

The Hannover Region’s Global Field is not always freely accessible. However, the team is open to anyone who is interested! If you would like to visit or take part in a joint activity, simply contact the team.
